This year’s report highlights important milestones in our evolution throughout Kikundi 2.0. We have expanded strategic partnerships, deepened our mentorship program, translated key educational resources to increase linguistic inclusivity, and continued to track our growth using a structured maturity model. Encouragingly, our members report stronger leadership and management skills, improved advocacy capacity within Ministries of Health, greater comfort negotiating with partners, and increased progress toward national program goals — in alignment with the 2021-2030 WHO NTD Roadmap. At the same time, we are candid about the challenges our community faces, particularly the impact of global funding reductions and the urgent need to strengthen sustainability and domestic resource mobilization.

Kikundi’s strength lies in its ownership. It is governed by Program Managers, shaped by member priorities, and sustained through partnerships. As the Chair of the Leadership Council, I am continually inspired by the commitment of our members to support one another, share lessons transparently, and advance solutions that reflect African realities and leadership. As we approach the mid point of Kikundi 2.0, our goal is clear: to create a resilient, self-sustaining community that continuously improves knowledge through peer learning and mentorship programs, strengthens national programs, and accelerates progress toward elimination and eradication.
